This was my first year attending the awesomeness of Otakon, and it won't be my last. Just exploring the impressively large convention center and surrounding area was an adventure, and I'm grateful to have met some wonderful people who truly made the experience all kinds of fun (and well worth the drive)! ^_^
It was amazing to finally hang out with the lovely LadyOfRohan, and we were a perfect match since she was missing her Leon and I was missing my Ashley. Whether we were tracking down health restoring smoothies or securing creepy parking garages, it was so fun to scout everything out together. Spending time with Soupish was really awesome as well, and the three of us made such a great RE trio for pictures. :)
Kamokuu and her crew were just fantastic, I had so much fun with them! They were made of epic Resident Evil (and shinobi) goodness. It was hilarious to watch her and Killswitch spontaneously spar. I was so glad that I was able to hang out with MugenSC too, he seriously rocks. And running into EricTheDirector was a very cool suprise! :D
Meeting the very talented Del and the other artists was a real highlight as well, I only wish we'd been able to steal them away from their tables for awhile. Given how awesome their work is, I can understand why they were always so busy!
Special thanks to all the amazing cosplayers who attended the pocky-infused-creative-costume-extravaganza that is Otakon, and to the staff members that organize it. Everywhere I looked I saw amazing costumes, but I only had time to film a fraction of them. Thanks to the random people who filmed shots of us on my video camera as well, and thanks to everyone who took the time to pose while I filmed them.
