Apophis has a small chance of hitting, I drama'd it up a bit more in this. There are actually a bunch of other asteroids/comets that are more likely to hit. NASA spends I think its like $3 million a year on searching for these terrors! A few telescopes are privately funded. I think no telescopes in the southern hemisphere are used, so a massive hole in objects coming from down below us is is created. Obviously I make this about humour but the main stats are true.
