Amigos de los Animales, Inc. (ADLA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare issues faced on the island of Puerto Rico. ALDA is a voice for the overwhelming number of abused and abandoned companion and farm animals on the island of Puerto Rico and is committed to finding solutions to the inhumane treatment of animals on the island wide. ADLA rescues, rehabilitates, and places homeless animals from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico and also is involved in spay/neuter and Humane Education efforts/campaigns island wide. Puerto Rico is currently considered a Commonwealth of The United States, and it is ADLA's hope that Humane Education will quickly take root in Puerto Rico as it has in the Continental U.S. As of now, all of our work in based solely on donations, 100% of which goes directly to the welfare of these animals.
